We’re excited being able to announce that the virtual gate m3 is part of Cybersonica 2006, London’s annual festival of electronic music, sonic art and audiovisual fusion. The gate relies on technology developed for musical instruments that are being used for the band zeichensprecher.

Now it will be shown at the Cybersonica Sonic Arts Exhibition @ Phonica Records in the center of London, open from 8th until 20th May 2006. In its fifth year, it is a leading international event for anyone interested in the theory and practice of how new technologies are shaping and changing the way musicians, DJs, VJs, digital artists, audiovisualisers and creative software developers make and present their work. The festival brings together a vibrant community of sonic and audiovisual innovation, nurtures new talent and showcases the freshest and latest work in the field.

Cybersonica 06 will bring challenging new work to an international audience. The festival aims to showcase both live audiovisual performance and sonic art works that contain the most exciting contemporary approaches to creative interactivity – moving beyond the screen, keyboard and mouse and responding to physical input, proximity, sound, kinetics, elapsed time and the surrounding environment.

If you are interested in the technology we are using to perform our music and want to try it out by yourself instead of watching someone on stage – you shouldn’t miss this event! Get interactive!

Cybersonica, the international festival of music, sound, art and technology is presented in associatation with the Science Museum’s Dana Centre and in partnership with the Encompass Festival and b.TWEEN 06.
